Guildford Nature Reserve, Surrey

Wetlands, river and fields free parking too. All completely enclosed so no escapee's. very pretty and relatively quiet. Good solid paths unless you walk down the river wey in which case take wellington boots as it can get very muddy along the river bank. Always lots of wildlife to spot and apparently there is sometimes cattle grazing in the reserve, however I have never come across them or seen any sign of them having been around. A cycle path runs from the car park at Bowers Lane through the nature reserve to where it enters Thorneycroft Wood. Cyclists can then access a wider network of paths including a cycle path to Guildford Town Centre.
