Start at Spofforth, loop round to Sicklinghall where you can stop off at the dog friendly Scott's Arms pub and then loop back round to Spofforth (and finish off at another pub The Castle Inn!)
Up and down terrain
Takes about 1.5hours depending on how long you stay at the pub!
Directions:
Follow the lane straight down, going through multiple gates. (First field may have cows).
Walk past the Christmas trees (on your right)
Follow the lane until you get to a red gate. On the road/track turn right. Head into Sicklinghall village. Pass the stables and pond on your right. Keep walking up the hill until you reach the pub!!
After a pit stop carry on up the hill out of the village. Pass another pond on your left. Turn right down the lane. Follow the lane round..keep walking (you will see 2 houses in the middle of the fields!) Keep going.. Through a gate with a little stream where the dogs may have a paddle. When you get to the end of the lane turn right. This will take you back into the village. At the main road..turn left for The Castle Inn pub or right to get back to the car!

Lovely winters walk through the stunning Yorkshire countryside. Really easy to navigate, even with a baby in a carrier 😊.
Really handy stop off at the pub, The Scotts Arms (doing take out during Covid) in Sicklinghall. Something interesting to look at at every turn! Highly recommend. Also good tracks to walk along. Mostly bridleway so can even ride across!
