Bannerdown Common, Wiltshire

Open fields and woods
The whole area is also a butterfly reserve, so there’s plenty of flowers.
Once you leave the car park you will enter a large open common, ideal to run of some steam.
At the end of the common you can enter a large wood, that has some great smells for dogs to sniff around for hours.
Back on the common there are benches dotted around so you can sit and enjoy the views.
Around September the local farmers put out a small group of cows out, about 4-5, always the friendly ones..
In May it’s right next to the bath dog show, so you’ll get to see lots of different breeds.
On a sunny day there’s nowhere more peaceful!

Great couple of hours

Good walk with plenty of variety. Bumped into several other dog walkers who were all super friendly. One couple had been coming on this walk for over 20 years with different dogs.
