Calke Abbey, Leicestershire

A National Trust, stunningly beautiful place to walk no matter the weather! Endless options for walks from a gentle stroll around the country house to exploring the woods and surrounding countryside. There are sheep grazing immediately around the house but there is plenty of opportunity for off-lead zoomies as you head out towards the nature reserves and river. There is an abundance of deer and wildlife to spot along the way and many ancient trees, including the famous "Old Man of Calke"- a 1,000 year old oak tree.
There is a cafe, shop and plenty of parking.
