Fernilee Resorvoir, Derbyshire

Circular walk round the reservoir takes you through a wooded area and alongside the reservoir. Lots of places for dogs to run free and swim. Approximately 3 miles long. A few inclines but nothing mega - you can divert and go further through the wooded area. Walking boots needed or trainers during good weather. Paths are well maintained. My dog loves this walk it is especially good in hot weather as the wooded area is cool and dogs can go in the reservoir to cool off. There are some farmers fields nearby these are well fenced to keep dogs out as there are sheep, so you need to be aware if your dog can get over fences. Lots of benches for you to sit and watch the world go by. One area of the reservoir "the beach" is particularly good to let your dogs swim. Car parking is free.
