Nonsuch Park, Surrey, SM3 8AB
Nonsuch Park is a public park between Stoneleigh, North Cheam, Cheam, and Ewell on the boundaries of the borough of Epsom and Ewell in Surrey, England, and the London Borough of Sutton. There are plenty of car parks inside the park.
My little pug CoCo loves the park to chase squirrels and crows.
A relatively simple walk right on the northeast border of Surrey. While Nonsuch Park boasts many pleasant paths and trails, this particular route tries to stick to the perimeter, resulting in a longer yet muddier outing.
The walk:
The route starts at the London Road car park and heads southwest. At this time of year, the beginning stretch is comfortably the most challenging in terms of mud. The paths are quite wide but lack any sort of usable banking, forcing you to wade through the wet ground. Even after a few days without rain, puddles were still consuming plenty of the trail.
Once you’ve made it through the first kilometre though, you’re certainly rewarded. You join the main path and get to take in the beautiful open space that Nonsuch Park has to offer. While far from hilly when walking, the landscape offers just enough gradient to bring the park to life.
