Blagdon Lake - Super Loop, Bristol
We have spent a lot of our adventures exploring Ubley, Blagdon, Nempnett and Butcombe so we combined all of our favourite sections into one "Super Adventure''.
It is a lovely walk which is actually a lot easier than we thought it would be. The walk offers panoramic views of the lake with the Mendips hills offering a stunning backdrop.
There is a mixture of fields, woodlands, meadows, lakeside walking and a lovely stop at a waterfall.

Wildlife at Blagdon Lake
The area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) so the wildlife here is outstanding with many species of birds to spot on the lakes.
Due to the designated SSSI status, dogs should be under close control and there are plenty of signs around the lake asking you to keep dogs on lead due to the wildlife.
Parking
We parked along the dam so we could finish the walk at the lake and then jump straight into the car but there is a free village car park in Blagdon by the fire station.
